Virasorb cold sore cream contains the active ingredient aciclovir, which is an antiviral medicine used to treat infections with the herpes virus. This cream is used to treat cold sores, which are caused by infection with the herpes simplex virus.

Spread a thin layer of cream over the sore and surrounding area as soon as the tingling starts. Apply the cream 5 times a day for 5 days. If the sore has not healed, continue treatment for up to another 5 days. If symptoms still persist, consult your doctor.
